Freight Insurance Option – Terms of Service

Elegant Business Group PTY LTD

Elegant Business Group (EBG) offers customers the option to insure their goods against loss or damage arising from any event or cause, except where specifically excluded in the terms below.


1. Insurance Coverage & Cost

You may select one of the following insurance options at the time of purchase:

  • $300 Cover – Insures Furniture & Lighting items (e.g. chandeliers, coffee tables, TV units, chairs) up to $1,500 in value

  • $500 Cover – Insures Furniture & Lighting items (e.g. chandeliers, coffee tables, TV units, chairs) up to $3,500 in value

  • $800 Cover – Insures Furniture & Lighting items (e.g. chandeliers, coffee tables, TV units, chairs) up to $6,000 in value


2. Conditions of Cover

To be eligible for a claim, the following conditions must be met:

  • Goods must be inspected immediately upon delivery.

  • When the delivery docket is signed, it must include written notes of any visible damage or concerns.

  • Any damage that may result in a claim must be reported to EBG in accordance with the Claim Conditions outlined in Section 5.


3. Exclusions

Insurance cover does not apply to the following:

  • Delays in transit

  • Loss or damage due to customer misconduct or intentional acts

  • Theft

  • Legal seizure or confiscation of goods

  • Re-delivery, redirection, or storage fees


4. Limitations

  • The insurance is limited to the value shown on your original purchase receipt and the insurance tier selected.


5. Claim Conditions

To initiate a claim, you must:

  • Notify EBG within 24 hours of delivery by emailing sales@elegantinterior.com.au

  • Include detailed photos of the damaged item(s) and a written description of the issue

  • Do not undertake any repairs without written consent from EBG

  • If applicable, provide a repair quote within 7 days of delivery

EBG will review the submitted information and determine whether to repair or replace the item, up to the insured value.


6. Claims Settlement

Elegant Business Group PTY LTD retains full discretion to settle claims through one of the following options:

  • Repair the item

  • Replace the item (subject to stock availability)

  • Issue a refund up to the insured value

For irreparably damaged or lost goods that are unavailable in stock, a refund will be issued in accordance with the coverage tier selected.
